Well as i start adding more stuff i dont trust my 350 watt generic psu.so iwas looking to upgrade to a 400 watt.Could you plz recomend one plz.im looking to spend 50-100 dollars and i dont want it to be to loud.
I have 5 case fans 2 lights dvd rw and a cd rw 2 hard drives
one dumb question i looked at that psu and it has a fan on the back and the top.My case doesn't have opening on the top for a fan up there .Would i have to cut a hole in my case to put that in there?
Fan is back and bottom. Bottom sucks air in from near the cpu into the PSU, then back one exhausts it out. Gives another path for air to exit your case.
All the brands recommended here are good. I believe PC Power and Cooling offers a Turbo-quiet 410 for your price range. These guys are the gold standard for power supplies as far as I know; Maximum PC uses one every year when they build their Dream Machine. The only reason I think they don't get mentioned more often is that they are expensive and companies like Fortron and Thermaltake make perfectly fine power supplies for probably $20-$40 less, and for some reason PC Power and Cooling aren't for sale on newegg.

I don't think PCP&C employs any resellers, think you ahve to buy direct from them. Least, none of the resellers I've ever dealt with carried them. They definitely are some of the best, if not the best.
The Enermax is the cheapest quiet power supply in that output range. I was going to get the PCP&C 410, but the Enermax went on sale for like $60 from Newegg, so went with that. The Antec True480 is another great power supply, and would have no problems using it in any pc I built, have in past, will again, but it's not as quiet, so if qquiet is your goal, I'd get the Enermax or the PCP&C.
PC Power and Cooling is pretty much makes the best PSU. They have been on market for many years and have been consider as best PSU manufacturer by many PC technicians. I have great experience with their PSU for many years too. I always use PC Power and Cooling for my primary computer.
