file property is so slow

Hello. I'm using WinXP Pro SP1.

When I try to open property dialog of files or directories from
explorer, it takes sooo long to show up.
No cpu activity, just quiet time passes for around 10 to 15 sec.
It seems like local files take longer than files on network drives.

It's not that the right-click menu is slow; it shows up fast enough.

I've been running anti-virus soft and Spybot.

Somebody help!
