Enermax 600W

Im currently looking into piecing together a new system...specs as follows

MSI K8N Neo Platinum mobo
AMD 64 3200+ Clawhammer Core L2 1mb
Mushkin 1GB (512MB x 2) PC3200 DDR400 cas 2-3-2
1 74GB WD raptor
ATI 9700 pro 128mb

Main use of the sys is gaming, with video editing possibly in the near future. I have no plans atm to OC the system...which doesnt mean i wont down the line.

Anyway,im curious if the enermax 600w PS is worth the cash to put out to power this system....or will a lower wattage PS (preferably Enermax) suffice...such as the 470w?

Is that "yes" get the 600 watt nuclear power plant or "yes" get the coal fired power plant that is still overkill?


Either way he has to wear a welding mask when he takes the side panel off the case to avoid welders flash.

600W is over kill. I would get a lower wattage one.

Buy the 470w psu. Or you want to save money buy Fortron 400W psu.
