OK, I keep hearing good things about Fortron and Sparkle PSU's, especially from Crashman. So, I've decided to try one.

It's a pretty light system, the wattage calculator proggie says I need less than 300 watts, so I'll get the 350 watts. Newegg has three models, which to choose?

I) Fortron HiO model atx350gu @ $28.00 (3rd down from top in link)

2) Fortron model FSP350-60PN @ $39.99 (5th down)

3) Fortron aurora series model fsp350-60pn @ $43.00 (I0th down)

I guess the real ? is, is the $28 model gonna be good price/performance?

Crash, if ur lookin, ur opinion is highly valued here
Thanks

Oops, the link won't work on my newegg product search, so hopefully you guys are familiar with the model #'s

I don't know what those "High Power" power supplies are, but they don't look anything like Fortron Source power supplies and I don't know where Newegg gets that lable from. I have no faith in them, I don't trust them at all.

Aurora series is the same as your choice 2, but with a clear fan with a blue LED in it.

Thanks Randy and Crashman,

So #I is out. If I follow you guys #2 is good.

Yeah, I looked at the posts (last few months)on this subject and the 400 watt @ $65 (IIRC) seems a favorite. But then the 530 watt is only a few $'s more. But then it seems a shame to put that 530 in a rig that needs less than 300 watt. So I could put the 530 in the gaming rig, and move the enermax over to... Oh well, you get the point. I was trying to keep it simple :)

Thanks again

Sure buy the 530 and put it in your gaming rig.
