1] Do two people at same address actually have to be family in any
fashion to share an account?

2] If we like our current phones is there anyway to get anything in the
place of a new phone discount? If we don't make use of that when signing
new contracts (One of us is out of contract and the other a pre-pay
customer currently) do we get to use that at a later time? (Say in 8 months)

3] I really can't figure out from the website or verizon staff how
minutes are allocated between primary and secondary lines. Say I got 400
+ 100 bonus + in network and two phones. Do the 500 prime time minutes
get shared between the phones as one would think? Do both lines get the
unlimited in-network calling? I know over the years that there have been
no end of wierd billing issues with shared plans.

Thanks!

1. You don't have to be "family" to use the family share plan.

2. You probably won't be able to negotiate anything in lieu of a new phone
subsidy.

3. The bucket of minutes are shared though if you use up the monthly
allotment, the overage per minute charges may be different for each phone.
The current rate plans do have unlimited IN for both phones though
previously the secondary phone only had unlimited calls to the primary--
unless you paid an extra $10/month.

Two people do not share an account. For a family share plan, ONE person has
an account with multiple lines. All the lines are under that one person's
name and are her responsibility. Verizon doesn't care who the customer
gives the multiple phones to, as long as she pays the one bill.

I don't think you can get anything in place of a new phone discount, but you
could always ask.
