Automatic Updates - Windoes Update

I don't remember doing this, but I just discovered Automatic Updates was
turned on and the option to "Download updates for me, but let me choose when
to install them" was selected. According to the Automatic Updates Tray Icon,
80% of some unknown Windows Update(s) has been downloaded. I want to delete
this stuff if someone can tell me where these downloads are stored. Is it in
the Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder somewhere? - Somewhere else?
Any idea what the name of the folder would be that holds this stuff?

Perhaps a more difficult way to find/delete this stuff would be to let the
download finish. It will then give me the option to install, hopefully
letting me know what it is at that point. Then maybe I can find it by
searching for a word or phrase inside the installation file(s) once I know
what I'm looking for. Would that work?

I prefer to install updates manually, and have been for two+ years. I'm
up-to-date on all the critical stuff except for SP-2 which I definitely don't
want.

Thanks,

HMT

Install the Updates manually and the AU will remove the temporary
files on its own.
