What is an email program

i have a pop up message telling me there is no email program associated to perform the requested program.please install an email program ,or if one is installed ceate an associaion in the default program panel i am using windows 7 home pemium

It sounds like you're trying to to email something, and no local email client is installed, such as outlook.

Windows 7 does not come with a default email program as past versions of Windows did (Windows Mail). However, you can install an e‑mail program from another company or Windows Live Mail - a free program that is part of Windows Live Essentials - http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mail?os=other
