More Information

I recently bought a new system here are the specs:

Shuttle XPC ST61G4L
with chipsets ATI RS300 + IXP150 800mhz FSB
Intel P4 3.0 Prescott
ATI R9800 Pro 128 MB
Corsair 512 MB PC3200
WD 120 GB
DVD+-R/RW
Windows 2000 Pro

Currently I have all the updated drivers from Shuttle for the system. I also have the most recent ATI Catalyst drivers.

I am not sure of the problems source but my system skips constantly. At first i thought the problem was only in games and assumed it was a driver issue. But now i notice that i skip even when typing or browsing.

I dont really understand what is causing this. One possible sources i could think of are that the 250watt PSU is not providing enough power? But i know of friends who have similar shuttle set-ups that run fine. Also could it be a ram issue? If anyone has can please help me before i throw this box in the trash i would greatly appreciate it
