I am trying to run the XP repair console from the installation CD. When it
asks for the administrator password I press enter without entering any
password.
It tells me this is incorrect!
Is their a particular password? this is a clean install and no password has
been entered.

Many thanks

Mark

Hi Mark

Are you trying to run a 'Repair' install of XP? If so please have a look at
the following article by Michael Stevens - you're in the wrong place:

"How to Perform a Windows XP Repair Install"
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

If that isn't the case - the password needed is the one used for the
Administrator Account when XP was installed - for XP Pro. The Default
password for XP Home is blank.
