minecraft is more gpu instensive than cpu but as long as your vid card can hold it it should run with no problems

I don't agree with that completely, I found minecraft to be more CPU intensive but a good GPU will help also.

ive got a quadcore amd with a intergrated graphics, i can only run at 16fps low settings minimized window if it was cpu intensive wouldnt it have ran better?

Integrated graphics are not good by any means even for minecraft. A low end GPU like a GT240 would be able to run it at 30+ fps. The game is just poorly coded period, even with my healthy mid-range setup i get no more then 200fps and that was with my 8800GT. When I got my 560 ti, my FPS actually went down for some reason...

But Minecraft requires a decent CPU AND a decent GPU. A good/bad combo just doesn't work on it. I have a quad-core Phenom II with crossfire 5770's and I never drop below 250FPS on default texture pack. 100FPS on a high-res 256-pixel one.

No, my friend running a P4 and a GT240 gets 30-40fps @1080p. That really does not help my CPU intensive argument, but I bet if he had a dual core his fps would be better.
