I would like to get a temperature monitoring unit cause i don't trust the temps on my ic7 max3. Which is the best to buy. Do I need the fan controllers also? Thanks in advanced.

Your problem is gonig to be that a temperature monitoring unit that you will buy, isn't going to be able to measure you CPU temperature correctly. You just can't get it close enough to the core, and some unlucky people who try, end up cracking there chips. Generally you don't need fan controllers, just one more thing in your case creating heat.

Generally motherboard manufacturers release BIOS updates to correct in-accurate temps, just keep your BIOS up to date.

So I wouldn't recommend a temperature monitoring unit, as it will be at least as inaccurate as your motherboard, if not more.
