Batman Arkham City... fps question.

During the video card test in Batman Arkham City my FPS min is 0 and max is 60 with an average of 38 fps. There was a couple times where the video got real choppy/laggy during the test (hence the 0 min). This is little disappointing... I thought I had a system that could run most games at the highest settings without an issue. My running 1920x1080.

i7-2600k, 16gb ram, GTX 580 1.5gb, 1050W psu.... what gives? I was running my cpu and gpu at stock clocks, I know I could OC them both, but I was hoping it would run this game at better fps.

Were you running on Dx11 max settings? Arkham City's gorgeous graphics and poor coding combine to stomp mud holes in the backsides of graphics cards.

This is what I'm doing, though Rocksteady dont seem to eager to fix the game, too busy counting our money I guess....

Excellent gamed ruined by poor coding. Arkham City is using the Unreal 3 engine for crying out loud, yet Arkham City is more demaning than BF3.

There has only been one patch so far since november, and that didn't fix the DX11 problem it only softened it a little for 64bit users.

jrfreak, at the moment to get better FPS all you can do is turn off DX11 and lower the settings.

My fps have been ok during game play.

I just got BF3 and have been playing it on ultra settings with no lag at all. I might pick up a 2nd 580 but it's plenty good for bf3.
