This seems to be a continuing theme, but I need to chose a laptop for a friend. Basically she wants a laptop for wireless internet and word processing. Nothing major. So I'd like it if someone could tell me the better notebook:
Acer Aspire AS3003WLCI-H / AMD-M Sempron 3000+ / 512MB / 80GB / DVD-CDRW/ 15.4" WXGA TFT / 56K / 802.11g WLAN / LAN / XP Home (899$)
Acer Aspire AS3502LCI-H / Cel-M 360 1.4Ghz / 256MB / 40GB / DVD-CDRW/ 15 XGA TFT / 56K / 802.11g+b WLAN / LAN / XP Home (799$)
Acer Aspire AS3613WXCI-H / Cel-M 370 1.5Ghz / 512MB DDR2 / 60GB / DVD-CDRW/ 15.4 WXGA TFT / 56K / 802.11g WLAN / LAN / XP Home (899$)
Toshiba M40X-RH4 Intel Celeron M 370 Processor 1.5GHz 256MB DDR/ 40GB / DVD Super-Multi Double Layer Drive / 15.4 WXGA TFT / 56K / 802.11g WLAN / LAN / XP Home (899$)
Gateway 6018GZ Celeron M Processor 360 1.40GHz Laptop (799$)
and pick something under 900$ that would be the best deal. I also have a toshiba pentium III notebook that is actually just collecting dust because the usb's are broken as well as the cd-rom. I would be willing to give that up for free. So would the cost of repair and installation of wireless internet be economical? i.e. under 300$. Thanks in advance for your help.
