Fps drops randomly

Hello, my fps drops from 60 down to 2-4 in the witcher 2 and sometimes in league of legends l.ol runs fine generally but the witcher 2 after playing for 2 min will constantly drop the frame rate or lag out i run a ( amd athalon dual core processor 5400+ 2.0 gb of ram and a nvidia geforce 9600 gt) windows xp used to play wow and very unoften would i get a frame rate crash which seems odd to me as i would think wow would be a harder game to run then the witcher 2 or even l.o.l any advise would be helpful at this point

Wow came out in 2005. The witcher 2 came out last year. Even with my system I can't max out The Witcher 2. I have a 2500k, 6950 and 8Gb of DDR3 RAM.Some how I would be surprised if wow would be harder to run that The Witcher 2.
0_0 What fps are you getting on witcher2 with your specs?!? they must be playable when maxed out atleast?
