Hi, I'm new to PC gaming so I'm not familiar with all the hardware that I need in order to play games flawlessly. I'm currently upgrading to a new computer and I was wondering if I could play Starcraft 2 as well as any other modern games on High/Ultra settings (Don't care about Anti- Aliasing), preferably High though:

CPU: Intel® Core™ i3-2120 3.3GHz
OS: Windows 7, 64-bit
Memory: 4GB Dual Channel DDR3
Graphics: 1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GT 545

I would be really thankful if anyone could help me out.

By what i've found on internet, you will be able to play o high without problems, since that video card is a little better than mine old 9800gtx+ witch i could play SC2 on max settings, i think 545 will do the job.

Although if i were you i would buy at least 550 ti if you plan to play other games.

SC2 is more CPU dependant then GPU. Your processor is far better then the TC's processor. So I'd expect worse performance then what your getting.

TC what resolution do you plan on gaming at?

Well i used to play almost on max graphics on 1920x1080 with my old e8400 3.0ghz and 9800gtx+... so i think i3-2120 3.3 is more than enough for starcraft.
