I bought a FSP530-60GNA power supply from newegg less than 6 months ago. Everything was working fine but I just noticed that the exhaust fan has stopped working on the power supply. The intake fan is still working. Any ideas?

Should still be under warranty, so you could send it in for repair. Your other option, which is probably easier, is just go get a new fan, and replace your dead fan. Might be a good time to upgrade your fans, with more powerful ones.

Also note though, that if you open the PSU, and replace the fan, you have voided your warranty.

Nice pics in your sig. Any particular pros/cons about your acrylic case you'd care to share?

Send it back. The electronic parts have a Mean Time Between Failure of something like 11 years, so there's no excuse why the fan should fail in 6 months. I don't know how long the warranty is, but I'm fairly certain it's measured in years.

Were it out of warranty, a fan replacement would be fairly easy.

The acrylic case's only real pro was that it looked cool. Everyone liked it.

As for functionality, it sucked. I had mine for a little while, and decided to add a hard drive, sounds like no big deal. Until you realize you have to remove all PCI cards, and the motherboard to add or remove any of your drives (Some newer manufacturers have fixed this problem). The screws and blocks that the case was put together with strip out rather easy, I didn't strip any, but a friend of mine did. After listening to him, I just tightened the screws with my thumbnail to aviod such problems. Next don't expect to be lugging the case around to all sorts of LAN parties, as it is not exactly solid, every time you move it, expect to retighten screws all over because you will shift everything. I also ran into some fitment issues with some motherboards, my Gigabyte boards fit fine, my Abit board did not. Also you can't sit hardly anything on the acrylic as it scratches pretty easy. Also even though it had more slots for case fans than a normal case, airflow was not opitmal, as everything ran a tad hotter than other cases I have.

Overall it looks neat, a good conversation piece I guess, but I other than looks I didn't care for it.

Don't interput this as saying they are completely bad, you wanted to know of any downsides, I have listed what I found wrong with it, overall, it's main function is to look neat, nothing more.

Thanks for the 'review' as it just help me make a decision. Was debating a lubic case vs acrylic and for reasons you stated, I'm going with the lubic.
