Hello. Longtime reader, first time poster.

Anyway, I just built my first system as follows:
Intel 925x board
Intel 3.2 P4
1G Corsair XMS2 Mem
Leadtek 6600GT
and hd and DVD Burner

My problem is that I loaded XP Pro and it is locking up all the time. At first it just happened when I was on the internet (through phone modem). But now it seems to be crashing when I run games. I just used the 400 watt (Thermaltake) PSU that came with the case. It is def. putting out hotter exhaust than my other case fans but does not seem as hot as say a laptop. All the same, I am wondering if this is a PSU problem or what. If anybody has an opinion, then I would appreciate it. Thanks!

A TT-420 should handle that easily. It sounds more like a hardware/driver conflict. Look in Control Panel under Device Manager and see if you have any conflicts. Make sure you have the latest drivers and BIOS from Intel. Make sure you balance your intake and exhaust fans too.

Abit IS7 - 3.0C @ 3.6ghz - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - Yellowtail Merlot

Thanks for the advice. I already checked for conflicts and did not find any, but I will go back through and update the drivers just to make sure.
