Does any one know a site which has PSu reviews including pictures of their internals???

Google it.....for real i always look inside a PSU to see the heatsinks before buying...
also check out <A HREF="http://www.ncix.com" target="_new">http://www.ncix.com</A> as customers upload pictures and i have got a look in most PSU's that way

How sillent it is??? Because I want to sillence my pc as much as I can without water cooling.
At this moment I have Q-tec (not q-technology as I understand) 400w. It has almost no heat sinks inside.

It is absolutely silent. I've seen/heard one of those powering a P4 3.06 w/ a 9700pro, 4 hard drives (sata, ide, and scsi), 2 optical drives, and it was still in audible. I know those hard drives make a decent ammount of noise but you couldn't hear any sort of fan noise even puttin your head right up against the powesupply.

truepower 380 is kind of expensive for me US $135
but
Truepower 330 is less expensive $107.
DO you think will the 330 be enough to power:
Intel P4c 2.8
1Gb RAM
WD HDD
Maxtor HDD
Nec CDRW
Nvidia FX5600

in future I might upgrade by adding DVDRW and maybe a little more powerfull video card (max 6600GT)

I havent found out if newegg ships to Lithuania

And I looked arround I can get Zalman ZM400A-APF 400W, CoolerMaster RS-450-ACLY 450W, CoolerMaster RS-350-AMSP 350W.
If its not too hard could you put them in a row from the best to the worst

I would not recommend any PSU less than 400watt, that being said, you can get by on less, but the closer you come to utilizing the max output power of your PSU, the chance of instability increases, and the overall unit life shortens and heat and noise increase.

I live in Lithuania, which is a small country in Europe. And almost all web stores don't ship to Lithuania. Those prices are local prices with taxes and all.

You don't have any friends in a nearby contry? What about a little drive/train trip to another country to look at the shops there? That price is just crazy, I'm sure a local shop somewhere else would have a better deal than that. I'm way out in the middle of nowhere and the tiny local office supply store has that psu for $70 USD, lol.

If that is not an option I think the 330 will likely power that system but it will be hurting a little. I really wouldn't go under a true380 on that thing. What are the prices on the SL400? It isn't a true power power supply but at least it is 400watts and it is usually a little cheaper. Do you have fortron source or sparkle power supplies avaliable to you anywhere? That would probably make a nice substitute for an antec and be a little cheaper.

It has the same price as the Truepower 330. On monday I will try to talk to the biggest pc shop in town and then to the supllier for PC's at my work place.

I think I will see how heavy are those other suplies in the store

Zalman ZM400A-APF.
Now I am thinking about too this zalman and Antec truePower380.
Which???

Either of those would be a fine power supply. I'm an antec fan so I'm of course going to say go with antec!
That extra 20watts you get w/ the zalman might make it work a little cooler/last long but I don't know for sure. I've never owned a zalman to know how good it is. If you get the antec you are guaranteed quality.

I think it is only in very rare instances that a power supply will put out an oder when you first get it. I've only experienced 2 power supplies that did it and seen maybe a couple posts about it since I started doin tech support years and years ago.

O got my PSU Antec Truepower380. my first impresions:

1) this thing is heavy. couple more upgrades with such high quality (and weight) parts and I will need wheels for my pc.
2) Cables too long for my case. good thing that I had a bag of zip-ties.
3) Wires apear to bee of a very good quality. Little hard to bend when installing in a working PC without taking it apart.
4) Its silent. atleast when i stop my video cards fan
5) It apears that the temperature has rised 1 C in my case, and maybe 2 or 3 on the top. I gues that is because of the slow spinning fans.

And the most important question is:
For what that molex connector is used which is located in the back of the PSU between the socket and the fan???

I've never used it but it is just a regular molex connection so you could prettymuch connect anything to it that needs one. I guess for hard drive, optical drive, etc testing or something?
