I currently have (and am happy with) the 4400. I've had it for a little
over a year but plan to re-sign on the 17th when I take advantage of the
450/39.99 plan (going up from 400 minutes) as I have been quite satisfied
with my service. I can get "a new phone" for free, and I love LGs. Long
story short, I enjoy the loudness of my 4400 during conversations and don't
want to compromise that by "upgrading" to a new LG. I don't think I'll use
the camera, but I may on occasion. I travel through rural WV (okay, that's
redundant and don't really think I'm ready to lose analog capability just
yet. I probably wouldn't use a speakerphone even if I had it. Any
suggestions as to which LG I should get (or should I stick with my 4400)?

The VX6100 is an excellent phone. I believe it is an improved VX4400. Volume
and reception are excellent. I believe overall audio quality is improved.
Has a much better display. Minor point: also includes a decent camera.

If it's as good as the VX6000 (which is what I own) then I would concur.
Terrific sound quality, great feature set.

Thanks so much! The 7000 has a bigger # and costs more, so I thought it
just h-a-s to be better, but from all the info I'm gleaning, the 6100 seems
to be far superior.

I've never used the 7000, but from what I've seen the 7000 is supposed to:
- Have a better mobile web-browser
- Have a video camera
If neither of the above two things are important to you then you may well do
better with the 6100.

VX7000 is digital only, no analog capability.
