Hi,

I might have put this forth here a while back but I'm doing it again
because I haven't found a solution to this question yet. Well here it is.
Ever sense I put some beta spyware program on my PC that caused some
operating problems I have been unable to get the starup and shotdown jingles
to work. The jingles are on the PC right there at Control Pannel/Sounds and
Audio Divices/Sounds. Right where they are suppose to be and work just fine
when tested. And I've played with changing them and then changing them back
to see if they would work to bring them back online but they still don't
work. I've also tried moving them, still no luck. I'm sure there must be
something obvious that I'm missing but I can't find anything more obvious
than what I've already tried. So, other than a total reinstall, which I know
will work because I've done that when the problem was there before along with
other problems that called for a total reinstall. But for right now I don't
need a total reinstall just a simple solution to this one unending missed
jingle. Is anyone out there that knows the magical key to this problem?
Please.

Sincerely,

Johnz414

If you have TweakUI go to General and make sure in the Settings box there is
a check mark in the Beep on errors box.

I'll say Beep on errors.
