I recently got an Antec Aria case which comes with a front IEEE 1394 port. Since my motherboard was not equipped with a 1394 header I bought a pci card with an internal 1394 firewire port.

Unfortunately the case has wires that seem to be designed only to connect to a motherboard header, and I don't see a way to connect to the internal port on the card.

If anyone has a suggestion on how to connect the front 1394 port without direct support on the motherboard please let me know.

The pci card is a Zonet ZUC2400, and the motherboard is a BIOSTAR "M7NCG 400" both from newegg.

Thanks,
Aster

Aster...looking at the 2400,dos`nt it have a internal
header positioned upper front!..Be careful..looks like a
USB header next to it.

I looked at the card and there does not apear to be a header. Just an internal 6 pin port.

Afer some searching I found a way to connect the front IEE 1394 firewire port on my Aria case to the interal port on my Firewire card. Antec sells a cable on their web site called OAMFIREWIRE for this purpose. Cost is $5.95 plus $7.95 s&h.

You can find the cable here:
