i have lousy power in my apartment and am worried about problems it can cause to the PC and other expensive stuff. I get dips at times (the lights will briefly flicker), like when the fridge motor turns on. I have an APC UPS, which is old and sort of works, but I don't think there's any power protection/conditioning function.

I just purchased the following:
GEMINI PL-02 Light Module & Power Con GMI PL02 (from J&R)

which I'm thinking will go between my pc and some other stuff and the outlet.

Any thoughts? Appreciate any input.
