Just got an account with verizon along with an LG VX4500.
I'm in the process of getting used to the phone and
discovering little problems. For instance, I can't charge
the phone in the cradle without taking it out of the leather
case. Fortunately, the connector for the car charger is
accessible when the case is on, however it is covered by a
plastic plug. Is it advisable to put the plug back in after
charging the phone or can I just leave the connector port
open? Otherwise the phone is working great. In particular
I can use it in my home, unlike my previous phone/cellular
provider. Thanks!

Swingman,

Great phone, just pull the plug and throw it away. You don't need it
unless you work at the beach and don't want to get sand inside your phone.
Otherwise, you will never need the plug again. I also got tired of taking
the leather case off of the phone so that I could put it in the charger. I
went out and bout a travel charger which works great with the case on the
phone.

I bought an original LG travel charger for the VX4500 for $19.95 here -

That's $10 cheaper than through the LG site.
