Multiple Monitors in games

Is there a software or user edible way of using multiple monitors in various games?

I have seen screenshots from UT and Q3 using multimons. and I must say it looks quite appealing

i know windows xp can handle multiple monitors

xp is nice, but it is opengl and direct3d appz. that needs to use a wide view.. =)
