Skyrim lag

Sup guys,

So I just started playing Skyrim, and i seem to have a problem with lag. I get decent framerates, but every 10 seconds or so the game freezes completely for about a second or two. Is there anyway to get around this?

Gigabyte P35-DS3L
Windows XP Pro

you can try lowering the resolution, make sure you got all the latest drivers for all of your hardware and that skyrim is patched.

other than that, your compy is on the bottom edge of playable hardware for the game
