I'm a personal fan of Thermaltake. I've used their cooling products for a while now with only good things to say about them.

I'm also a person who loves noise and I actually try to generate extra noise so my roommate's noise doesn't bother me as much(she's an insomniac who doesn't understand the idea of being quiet so others can sleep).

I was wondering why none of Thermaltake's PSU's were in the recent test.... They have gotten rave reviews from most places and I was hoping to have THG test one to the limit.

Any future plans to expand the PSU test to other brands like thermaltake?

Probably because thermaltake didn't send them a psu for the test, or if they did, sent one that didn't match specifications that Tom's asked for.

Which of course is pretty much same reason every time this same type of question gets asked.

IMO its because TT isnt a big player in the PSU market. Im a TT fan myself, I have a Tsuanmi"Its ok" and a SHARK "Its awesome". I can tell you from experience that there 480W unit is overpriced and doesnt put out the wattage that is should. Their 680W beast however is the most stable PSU that I have ever used. Im a big OCer and stress the hell out of my PSUs. I have an Intel socket 775 system and OC at 5Ghz most of the time. You wont do that with an unstable PSU.

The TT PSu is ok but they are still based on an old technology/topology wich why you always find their 12V only 18A. I have a TT480W (TWV480 APFC) that still good after being 1 year of duty. My system are all AMD AthlonXP system though. I won't recommending any TT PSu for intel or A64 system...

After all they (Tt) doesn't make their own PSu but have Sirtec made it. If the psu is good it is because Sirtec but if it is bad its not merely Sirtecs fault but is because Tt didn't even know what a good psu is...

As I said before, the 680W TT is not in the same class as any other that they carryt. I run an Intel 3.73EE@5Ghz 6 HD's 3 DVD burners and a EVGA GTA 7800. If it can handle this system, it will be fine in anything else.
