How's the PowerStream?

I've been searching the web for a good review of OCZ's PowerStream line of PSUs, but have yet to find one. Anyone know of a good review? Anyone actually have one of these guys, and what were your opinions of it? I know a couple people here are going to pipe in and suggest Fortron, and probably somebody else, but thoe aren't viable choices for me unfortunately. Of the retailers that I'm looking at for this systems, the only options at 450+W are OCZ, Antec, and Enermax.

Right now, I'm looking at either the 520W or 600W one (X2 4200+, Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe or Premium, with a single 7800GTX, single HDD and optical drive). On top of whether the PSUs are good in general, is the extra 80W worth the $100 difference between the two? Thanks

If you plan on filling up your SLI then I would get the bigger, otherwise no save the money and go with the 520.

oh god, it really depends on the cable connectors for SLI, but then if not, the OCZ powerstream 520w is one of the BEST power supplies out there, solid and adjustable voltage rails, close to perfect for some overclocking. runs you about 110-120 dollars

$100 CDN ($85 + tax). I'm also looking at the Enermax NoiseTaker 600W that's only $160 ($175 & $260 for the OCZ's respectively). One problem that I have with the OCZ is only 2 SATA adapters on them. 4 would be much better as I plan on eventually dropping several drives in this machine. And why is it that I can't find a PSU with dual PCI-E adapters on it (not that it actually matters now, but possibly later).

I have this psu the 520 W powerstream and I am confused about the adjustable voltage settings. The +12V light is green, the +5 V light is red, and the +3.3 V light is Green. I can't find any way to make the middl elight green. I've tried ajusting the screws every which way and still can't seem to get it right. I really like this psu just wish i could configure it right. ANy suggestions?

Pull out a voltmeter and test the line yourself. Using the screw, by specification, you should be able to get the +5V line to somewhere between 4.75V and 5.25V. If you can't, then the supply is out of spec and you should get it replaced. Hell, if you can't get it within 4.9V and 5.1V, I'd be pissed and argue about it.

From what I've read, the light is suppose to be green when you're within 5% of hte line rating, yellow when you're under, and red when your over. If it's always red, I wouldn't use it in a system until you've confirmed the actual line rating.
