I'm posing a general PSU question to all members. I've heard rumors, which I sense are unfounded, that the wiring necesssary for modular PSUs result in a slight increase of resistance. The rumor stems from the fact that the cables can be deattached on said PSUs (i.e. Ultra X-connect, NeoPower). Does such a claim hold any merit?

Sorry, I don't own such a PSU. Well, in theory, all connections should be gold-gold, as, say, gold-tin promotes corrosion.

Copper is a better conductor than gold.

Nope, Copper is a better conductor even at 99.0% purity.

If you wanted GOOD cables, you'd use SILVER. And if silver oxide frightens you, you'd use gold-plated silver strands to make the cable!
