I run a small 5 machine office, all running 98SE.

We all would like to use this one great picture for our desktop. Four of the units in the Display Properties-Background-Wallpaper section allow us to use a .jpg picture and to "stretch" to fit. It looks fantastic. The fifth only allows .bmp and to center or tile only.

Can someone explain this to me; and can I get this machine to do what we want?

It may have a different video card in it than the others do, probably replacing the video card will do it for you.

Also it could be the monitors age but more than likely is the video card.
