Since the company has become more spread out in the recent times I am looking
at ways to streamline my efforts and reduce the chances of users doing stupid
things on the pc's. One of the issues I have is mapping of relevant network
printers. My idea is to use the group policy editor and have a script run at
startup on say the ground floor pc's that will map the relevant ground floor
printers. So I have done up a simple script to add the printers but am having
the following problems.

The script.cmd file works fine if I launch it manually but does not seem to
run at start up. I feel confident enough that I have set things up in the
group policy correctly but it still does not work. The only reservation I
have is about the script parameters (which I have left blank)

How in the script file do I set a printer to be default?

Any other good suggestions for scripts?
