The second ethernet port on the Asus A7N8X Deluxe will not be utilized, as I already have a router . Thus, I would like to use it in a load sharing manor. I've heard that software exists to peform this function. Where can it be found? Will it add unacceptable resource usage? Will it add a significant amount of Tx/Rx performance across my cable modem connection?

<edit>I believe I found the answers at the following URL:

It won't help your cable modem. It doesn't use the full speed of your nic already, so a second won't make any difference at all.

Agreed with the lack of bandwidth for load sharing. However, I did notice that when there is a problem with one of the NIC cards that the system will automatically use the other. So, its very similar to having redundant cards in any modern telecommunications system.

Well, I've had no problem with either of them. Because, if the one you're using goes down, it won't be able to bridge to the other, so it still won't work. Just move it to the other to hook it up.

If you STILL want to bridge them, just go into start - control panel - network connections (under classic view) - rt. click on one of the connections and select bridge connection. It won't really do anything for you though.
