Can This Machine Ever Run SWTOR?

The specs of my laptop computer are as follows:

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard

Model: HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC

Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II N830 Triple-Core Processor 2.1 GHz

Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (3.74 usable)

System type: 64-bit Operating System

Graphics Chipset: AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

Memory size: 320 MB

Core Clock in MHz: 500 MHz
Memory Clock in MHz: 667 MHz

I'm no high-end PC gamer, but the games I have run on this laptop have generally speaking had about zero problems with keeping up, until I bought SWTOR. Right now the game is playable, but barely, with very low framerates and only on a low resolution with all graphics settings turned as low as possible. Is there ANY way at all I can coax out more FPS from my system?

Thanks guys

  1. Since you're running a laptop, you can't upgrade your graphics card or anything, so I don't think there's much to do to get more FPS.
Try googling for any tweaks to get more performance.

Also, try gamebooster. It frees up RAM if you're running too many background processes. I can't guarantee that you'll get much more FPS with this, but it's worth a try.
