The built in microphone that came with my computer does not work, and there
is nothing in troubleshooting about it. Only about speakers.

Whenever i troubleshoot it says it works properly so i think there is
something wrong with the settings but i cannot find anywhere to change them.

Do you use automatic update from windows? If so, recently you will have
updated 'realtek AC97 audio'. I did, and lost my sound completely...I used
system restore to go back to June to make sure it wasn't updated... hope this
helps
