I was told I would need a cable that changes the pin assignment, makes sense to me, but what is that type of cable called,I ve been all over the web trying to order one.The descriptions are written for someone who knows what they are looking for. Both comps have onboard nic r-45,sorry for being such a dweeb.Nearest computer store is 40 miles away called them and they said the could probally hook me up with "something" for about $25.Last time I was in there they wanted TO sell me A Geoforce2 mx400 for a $118 LOL.I bought a fx5200 for less than that the next day on line.I sent off a few e-mails to online computer stores but still havent got any replies.Any help would be appreciated.

After you get your cable, here's a good site for setting up the 2 machines. http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/

And a site that is a little more complicated on how to make a cable than jlanka's, but it does have some good pictures.
