Hey guys
Just wondering
What settings could my pc play BF3 on and what sort of fps would it play it at.
My pc
Core i5 2500 3.3ghz
4gb DDR3 ram
Samsung 500gb HDD
EVGA GeForce GT430 1gb
Mobo is Asus P8H61-Mle
And case is an Aopen nagas G5
It plays MW3 on high at 60 fps
On CSS the average fps is 290
So what sort of settings could I play battlefield 3 at?
High? Medium? Low?

I think medium is probably your best bet allthough you hay get away with some settings on high.

Gt430, low if at reasonable resolutions. MW3 is nothing on bf3 for graphical complexity.
my gtx470 requires me to drop a lot to medium, if I want to maintain framerates.

I can afford to upgrade lol I have a core 2 quad too which has an XFX 9500GT but it is worse then the GT430

Snowsniper, your PC probably could play BF3 on medium settings, although I probably would upgrade your graphics card.

I know :p  maybe a GTX 590 is in order

Man you would be fine if BF3 wasn't so GPU dependent =(. Low settings at low resolutions (re: 1680x01050 and under) is my best guess.

I run two monitors and the highest res i can possible I'm just addicted with running the highest spec so I might go buy a GTX 590 in the next month or two

Poor time to try to buy a 590. They are not in production and if you do find any that aren't on indefinite backorder, the markup is over 300 dollars.

Best to go AMD 7970 or wait for nvidia kepler 680.

GT 430? All low you should get 20 - 30 FPS.

Ill just go for one of the GTX models then cause I don't really like amd all my pcs have GeForce in them as my only pc with an amd GPu in it has let me down
