Hi,
I moved a hd (with xp, programs, settings, etc) from my old pc to a new one
that already has xp pro. This old hd is going to be used for archiving only,
but it has a lot of files, xp os and settings that I want to get rid of .
How to accomplish it? Cleaning the whole stuff isn't the case as some
files/programs will be kept as is.
Harold.

You cannot run programs installed on the old disk as their corresponding
entries into the Windows registry and Windows system files will not exist.

I would start by deleting folders that you no longer want (if this is not
the system drive, delete the Windows folder and all of it's sub-folders.

Once unwanted folders are gone, then you can search the remaining folders
for files you no longer want or need.
