How to fix starting errors generals zero hour

whenever i try to start the zero hour game , it says
u must run the game from install directory , which i m really nt getting it , hope i can get help

Maybe your shortcut icon is not correct. Why not go to the game directory where you've installed Zero hour and right click that zero hour.exe icon to make a deskstop shortcut and if you're using Win 7 64bit have it run on compatibility either xp2 or xp3 to avoid a static in-game menu. Also Zero hour needs Generals installed to function.
