I find that I have quadruple entries for six items in Control Panel and duplicates for others. Can I amend the list to
show just one entry for each item?

Check the \system32 folder for *.CPL files and eliminate duplicates.

Arthur, go to Search>All files and folders>All or part of file name.
type: *.cpl . You should get a list of all the cpl's in the
System32 Folder. If you see duplicates you can delete them.
