I cannot figure out hpow to use win xp pro's backup utility. I have folowed
the instructions, but always get an error meassage: The backup file name
could not be used "D:\backup..bka' Please be sure it is a valid path and
that you have sufficent access. Ok, what's happening here? I downloaded a
demo copy of Nero 6 and instantaly made a backup. Why is the utility built
into xp pro giving me a problem? How do I use it?

The XP backup will only put its backup file on a floppy, on a tape drive, or
in a file on a harddrive wherever you choose. It will not put its backup
file on a CD or DVD. That is what the message is trying to tell you.
What you can do is copy the backup file onto one or more DVDs with EasyCD
Creator.
