Is there a software benchmark test to quantify how good (or not so
good) a computers overall performance is?

In the DOS days, we used PCTOOLS.

I don't see much chatter about benchmarks these days. Is that because
there isn't a benchmark available?

Thanks,

T

I tried pcpitstop.com..........they told me I needed activeX, so I
left there as quick as my little mouse could send me away.

Any software vendor that forces me to accept and install activeX is
not in touch with reality and I don't want any part of them.

I'm getting Everest now.

Thanks,

T
