celeron 667

Hi there..again..Got this cel 566 running at 920MHz. Bought a 667 a couple of weeks ago...cannot get it over 838MHz.. Using a Abit VT6x4 and Asus BE6-II with Abit slotconverter.. Any ideas??

The CII 667 has a Fixed Multiplier of x10. The CII 566 has a Fixed Multiplier of x8.5. The lower the Multiplier is, the easier it is to OC.

The O/C ability of any given Celery CPU is pretty much the luck of the draw....the best thing to do is to buy a boxed
cpu instead of a OEM ( Unboxed )...the Boxed CPU's havent been picked over for Overclockablaty... I have a celeron 667
on a aBit BX-133 Raid board that will run at 1000 Mhz
but i backed it off to 990 Mhz for stability
