Battlefield 2 Bad Company Hard Freeze

Hi i recently built my new budget gaming computer. My hardware is:

ASRock H61M/U3S3 LGA 1155 Intel H61

SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 OC 900/1050 stock volts

Intel Pentium G620 Sandy Bridge 2.6GHz

Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB)


Anyways after playing multiplayer for 30+ minutes it tends to make my computer do a hard freeze. The game freezes and nothing will fix it except holding the power button down until it shuts off.


is this a known issue with the game itself or could something be wrong with my build?

Have you tried monitoring the cpu and gpu temps during and after gaming? Also is the game setting set to default? Try lowering the setting don't max out.

i dont think im maxing my system out when i can play Skyrim on high settings with HD mods running and get 40-60 fps without a hickup. its the only game i have that does this. I have discovered that others have narrowed it down to it not acting well with on board sound drivers.

as far as I can tell, G620 runs 1066 RAM, while yours is a 1333. Check with CPUz if it's running it at correct speed and timings, if it's downclocked mobo might be setting the timings wrong.

check event viewer for any dump logs
