Why won't my thunderbird take an overclocked FSB?

I have my thunderbird 800 running stable at 1 GHz now. it won't run at 1,1 GHz. If i run it with a multiplier of 8x and a fsb of anything higher than 100MHz, it will give errors.
Should i try to overclock my fsb too, and my pci? or should i just keep it running at a nice 1.000.000.000 Hz?

i can't even get my 800 up to 1Ghz , i'm stuck at 950 (9.5 x 100FSB)

what's the voltage? Mine's maxed out at 1.85. If you have an asus a7v board, check out tom's extreme overclocking a7v guide and it shows u how to get the voltage up to 2.xx (i forget exactly...)

I feel that 1 gigahertz from a TBird 800 is an extremely
successful overclock. You should be happy with that.

My 800 TBird oc'ed to 920 Mhz by increasing the fsb to 117.

You have to have very high quality ram to do this, I'm
using Micron 133Mhz cas2. You also need a video card that
you can overclock as well. I'm using the Hercules Prophet
3D MX oc'ed @ 200/200 ( Memory/Core)
Hope this helps.

The EV6 bus on the Athlon mobos are not very overclocking friendly. It has to do with the fact that the data bus between the northbridge and CPU is double pumped. I've heard that most people can get to 105-115mhz. Are you using an Asus or Abit mobo? Those two should be able to get the FSB to the 105-115Mhz range.
