i have finally found the true limits of my diamond viper V770 TNT2 card.
the core is able to run stable (if very hot) at 157Mhz, up from 125.
what truly suprized me was the memory.
its default setting is 150Mhz at CAS3 latency.
using TNTCLK it will run up to 161Mhz with CAS2 latency... or if i leave it on CAS3 it will go up to a mindblowing 242Mhz!!!!
and it is rock steady too! all without any extra cooling at all.
thats a whopping 61.3% performance increase with the memory.
I think u can see that is something to brag about!
as for real world benchmarks..i use quake2.
1024x768x32
@ 125 & 150Mhz = 62.5 fps
@ 157 & 242Mhz = 87.0 fps
an increase of 38%.
not too shabby at all.
cheers
