No, this program does not require you to turn in your existing phone. If
someone tells you it does, quickly ask to speak to their supervisor.

That's great news, I'm a couple months from contract expiration, and had
to file a claim for damaged phone. I would've been less than excited
about paying a $50 deductible then turning the phone in. They're
sending me an LG VX4500, we'll see how I like that.

I always keep the old phone in case I lose or damage the new one. Its my
insurance policy.
