when downloading drivers I assume I go with the vista version?

Is the nvidia driver in win update the best to go with so far?

anyone been able to get the intel inf update to work? it tells me I'm on a unsupported OS, no big surprise there just wondering if theres a way. - ok, for this I manually unpacked the inf udpate and just had to point each device listed as intel in the device mgr to the unpack folder.

For drivers go to the motherboard site and download from there including the Intel inf update.
For the Nvidia driver go directly to Nvidia.com. I would not use the Microsoft update site.
For the Intel inf update to work, unpack, click on the exe file and reboot after it is finished installing.

if you simply run the inf exe it says OS not supported

Try to run it in compatibility mode.
