Saints Row, Steam and Origin

I recently purchased Saints Row: The Third on steam. it's currently on sale on EA Origin. If my cousin bought the game off of EA origin, would we be able to play online together?

Yeah its all the same online servers. Doesnt matter where you buy it from.
