"skyrim has stopped working"???

Hey guys i just bought skyrim for PC today so i wiped my pc clean(took quite awhile) and waited hours upon hours for skyrim to finish downloading. Played for 30 minutes got off for a bit and now whenever i try to run skyrim it says "skyrim has stopped working" and closes.

I have been trying to fix this all day... literally. Suggesting another pc wipe... Not sure what to do very sad first day of skyrim .

Btw if you want my specs let me know. I just wanna play

Lets have your system specs. Also, whatever GPU you're using, make sure you're running the latest drivers. The latest nVidia drivers did wonders for the game for many people.

Try this as well: start the task manager, click on the 'processes' tab, check if either skyrim or Steam is still running. If yes, click 'end process' and restart skyrim/ steam. For now, it's a shot in the dark.

Thanks for the feedback. I just wiped my pc clean but i bet this will happen again so here is my specs from dxdiag. Oh and i know im gonna wait all day while i update my drivers and everything.
