Quad core processor help!

Alright, so im a huge gamer and im still building my pc, i already know what graphics card im getting: gts 450, now i need to figure out a processor i need one thats reliable, fast, and best for gaming, I cant spend more than 200$ im focusing on game's like gta 4, stalker call of pripyat, and most steam games out there, I do love source games, like Garry's Mod. Help me please!

You need cpu and mobo too ?

Not to sure yet im still building the PC, The grapics card you mentioned will it stand up for high end gameing? Like gta 4/stalker call of pripyat/crysis/ Just cause 2?

When you say can't spend more than 200 dollars, does that include the price of a motherboard? Because if it does, you're going to be significantly constrained in options.

If it doesn't, and you're just pricing it out piece by piece, the i5-2500k is the best 200 dollar processor on the market by an incredibly wide margin. Just remember motherboards are another 110-200 dollars and beyond, on top of the cost of the processor.

Well im not cheap, as i said im a gamer so yes im going to get the best gaming mother board i can find, my dad's buying this ***, i have no idea what the budget is, i just need to be satisfied to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call Of Pripyat <--- my favorite game.

Well i am getting x2 4 GB sticks of ram. Its taking time deciding what we are still getting so bare with me here, and power supply most likely more than 400 most graphics cards require at least that or lower, il need something bigger than the 400watt to even power my window's 7 even. Eh, i have no idea

400W should be fine for that, just don't get some no-brand PSU because it will be more likely to break, try OCZ, Antec or Corsair as they do god PSUs
