Venturi is "good". It takes a good MOK connection and makes it FAST. I'd
recommend you leave it installed, or you'll be disappointed with your
connection speed.
Concerning dock vs undock. Your computer gives you the option of
"configuring" unique setups for dock vs undock, or any other connection.
Just windows at its best, trial and error should take care of it. Remember,
that the venturi needs to be removed and installed last when you add network
adaptors. (no surprise, as they make a BIG deal of it during the install)
